Twin Cities Minnesota Chapter

In the face of climate change, we empower older adults to be good ancestors working together to preserve our beautiful earth for future generations.

We can’t solve climate change alone. Join us!

We are nonpartisan climate activists who are propelled to action by the science, critical timeline and complex interrelationships of the climate crisis. We believe elders can bring our unique power, responsibility, and inspiration to this effort. We use our wisdom and life experience to transform anxiety into organizing and action, connecting and having fun along the way. Founded in 2020, our chapter has a strong focus on ecological awareness, environmental justice, and intergenerational solutions.

We offer:

  • Monthly zoom meetings that provide ongoing education, legislative/policy updates, and opportunities for action
  • Regular ‘Action Alert’ emails for individual and collective actions
  • Monthly ‘Postcards for the Planet’ gathering
  • Quarterly book club
  • Opportunities for collaboration with other local and national climate action groups

Leadership

Kathryn Ringham is the Twin Cities chapter leader, working collaboratively to guide the direction of the chapter. Her background in gerontology and advocacy provides a foundation for championing creative approaches to the climate crisis and aging.
